Reviews should be introduced by a general summary of content in the form of an Abstract. Following a short introduction, putting the study into context and defining the aim, reviews will concentrate on the most recent developments in the field. A review should clearly describe the search strategy followed (key words, inclusion, exclusion criteria, search engines, etc.). No particular format is required; headings should be used to designate the major divisions of the paper.

Reports describe observations on clinical cases that can be educational, including adverse effects of drugs or outcomes of a specific treatment. They should be divided into: Abstract, Introduction, Case Report(s), Discussion, Conclusions, and References. Clinical cases published by the Sahelian Journal of Responsible One Health must:

  1. Follow the CARE guidelines for publication of case reports (https://www.care-statement.org/);

Letters to the Editor should be addressed to the Editors-in-Chief and formatted as short essays expressing the authors' point of view. If the letter is in response to a published manuscript, the original manuscript's authors will be given the opportunity to respond.

Editorials on selected subjects are accepted only on demand.

Protocols

About 3000 words, abstract 250 words max, 2 tables and/or figures (total), 15 references max.

Study protocols should provide a detailed description of the hypothesis, rationale and methodology of the study. They will usually be considered for publication without peer review if the study has received ethics approval and a grant or formal approval from an official funding body. Proof of both ethics and funding will be required, and we recommend that authors provide the relevant documentation on submission as supplementary files. Protocols of randomized controlled trials should follow the CONSORT guidelines and must have a trial registration number included in the text.
