Health professions education in the Sahel faces persistent challenges in aligning teaching practices with competency-based, clinically relevant, and ethically grounded standards. This report describes the design, delivery, and outcomes of the 3-day University Pedagogy Seminar held at the University Hospital Complex “Le Bon Samaritain” (CHU-BS), N’Djamena, Chad, which aimed to strengthen the pedagogical, clinical, digital, and ethical competencies of health educators. The seminar combined thematic lectures, interactive discussion, and case-based exchange across three domains: pedagogical engineering and active learning; clinical pedagogy and competency assessment; and digital pedagogy, responsible research, and ethics. Daily rapporteur reports and plenary syntheses documented proceedings that were subsequently analysed thematically. Participants engaged with constructive alignment, cognitive activation, clinical supervision models, workplace-based assessment tools, hybrid course design, and the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and One Health frameworks. Recurrent logistical and pedagogical challenges were identified alongside institutional recommendations. The seminar offers a potentially adaptable model for resource-limited academic health centres in the Sahel.
